This walk will be led by Lawrence Tam, and is exclusive to Sony Alpha E Mount camera owners only
Join Lawrence Tam & Sony as we celebrate Singapore's 59th birthday! Capture the National Day spirit with your Alpha camera and hone your skills with the guidance of the expert.
The photo walk is suitable for anyone interested in:
- Architecture photography
- Street photography
During the walk, you will have an opportunity to loan* the following lenses on a first-come, first-served basis:
- FE 16-35MM F2.8 GM II
- FE 24-70MM F2.8 GM II
- FE 70-200MM F2.8 GM OSS II
- E 10-20MM F4 G
- E 16-55MM F2.8 G
*Limited quality only. The loans are complimentary and must be returned to Sony representative after the photo walk.
About the Instructor: Lawrence Tam
Lawrence began his photography journey back in 2017 and eventually developed passion towards street photography. Street photography allows Lawrence to tell various interesting stories that resonate with him. He loves to use of lights and shallows as well as techniques like juxtaposition to effectively deliver stories through his photos.
- This hybrid walk is exclusive to Sony Alpha E Mount Camera users only as we like to maintain a low trainees to trainer ratio.
- Please note that if you are not using a Sony Alpha Camera, you may be turned away.
- Register only if you are confirmed to attend.
BASIC PRINCIPLES OF STREET PHOTOGRAPHY
3pm to 3.20pm
- Fundamentals of street photography, including composition, lighting, and subject selection.
- Techniques to be used during the shoot.
PRACTICAL SHOOTING SESSION
3.20pm to 4.30pm
- Participants will be divided into 2 groups to explore and photograph specific locations in Seleie House.
- Photos taken to be submitted for critique session.
REVIEW SESSION @ SONY STORE, 313@SOMERSET
5pm to 6pm
- Importing media files and return of equipment
- Photo review session with Lawrence Tam
- Debriefing with tips on how to improve your photos
