The terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) as stated herein applies to your registration to workshops organized by Sony and Sony Digital Workshop (“SDW”). You acknowledge that you are fully aware of the contents of the Terms and Conditions, and by registering for a workshop, agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Sony reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions from time to time without notice to you. Any amendment shall be reflected on this Site.
  1. Sony’s acceptance of your registration (for both paid and free workshops conducted either online or in a classroom) is subject to seat availability. Your registration will only be deemed accepted upon you receiving a Confirmation of Acceptance email from Sony and clearance of payment if required.
  1. Fees for all workshops are as per indicated in each of the relevant workshop page. All fees are in Singapore dollars, and inclusive of GST.
  2. The fee amounts for all workshops are dependent on the particular workshop conducted.
  3. Payment must be made in full upon registration to secure a seat in the selected workshop.
  4. No refund will be provided in the event of a failure to attend a class on the registered date for whatever reason.
  5. Seat reservation email is not a proof of payment or confirmation.
  1. Any refunds will be made at Sony’s sole and absolute discretion and Sony’s decision is final.
  1. For customers who wish to reschedule any class, please drop us an email at SDWInquiry.SG@ap.sony.com and select reschedule to choose an alternative date.
  2. For future sessions, customers may choose “Notify Me” to receive email notification when new workshop schedule is made available.
  3. For paid workshops, customer who is unable to attend must inform Sony in writing 24 hours before the commencement of workshop. Otherwise, Clause 4 applies under “Payment of Fee”.
  4. Acceptance of the new class registration is subjected to prevailing availability and at Sony’s sole discretion.
  1. Only a registered customer who is named in the Acceptance Confirmation email can attend the workshop, and the seat booked is strictly non-transferable.
  2. Sony reserves the right to reject any customer who has not registered for the class.
  3. For Fundamental Handling Workshops, customers will be required to bring their own Sony personal equipment. Customers will be informed, prior to the workshop, the list of recommended Sony equipment to bring along to maximize and enjoy the benefits of such workshop.
  4. It is customer’s sole responsibility to locate the workshop location prior to the commencement to benefit from the workshop. No time extension or rescheduling will be entertained due to non-punctuality.
  5. Customers attending the workshop are to comply with the rules and regulations of the training facility.
  6. In the unlikely event that the trainer for the workshop is unavailable due to unforeseeable circumstances, Sony or SDW will contact each of the customers at the next available working day for rescheduling.

  1. Web conference link is not transferable.
  2. It is customer’s sole responsibility to ensure their devices are in working condition.
  3. Customers must join the web conference with their registered name, otherwise they might be removed from the web conference.
  4. Sony reserves the right to remove any customer who is deemed to be disruptive or who exhibits unwanted behaviour.
  5. Any disruptions of the video streams due to customer’s equipment failure will not be entitled to a make-up session.
  6. If the workshop is unavailable due to technical issues, Sony or SDW will contact each of the customers at the next available working day for rescheduling.
  7. Customers attending the workshop are to comply with the rules and regulations of the training facility.

  1. Sony may, from time to time, organize workshops which are conducted by a third-party provider at a location outside of Sony’s premises (“External Workshop”). Registration for an External Workshop will be through Sony Digital Workshop’s (“SDW”) web portal.
  2. Participants who have successfully registered for an External Workshop are solely responsible for arranging their personal transportation to and from the workshop venue as stated in the workshop confirmation e-mail or workshop webpage.
  3. Any agreement or arrangement between a participant and the third-party provider conducting the External Workshop shall only be between the aforesaid two parties and in no circumstances will Sony be a party to such an agreement or arrangement. Sony accepts no responsibility and will not be liable to a participant for any loss, injury, expense, delay or irregularity arising out of or in connection with any agreement or arrangement separately entered into between the participant and the third party provider, including but not limited to any sale or provision of product or services.
  1. Sony reserves the right to change the validity of the promotion and the workshop schedules, venues, or contents without prior notice.
  2. Sony reserves the right to update or cancel any of the workshop dates and/or revise the fee for the workshop.
  3. Sony reserves the right at its absolute discretion to vary, delete or add to any of these terms and conditions from time to time without prior notice.
  4. Sony is not liable for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any participant registering, participating and/or attending any workshop or as a result of registering, participating and/or attending a workshop (including any External Workshop). By registering, participating and/or attending a workshop (including any External Workshop), the participant agrees that no claim relating to such loss or injury (including special, indirect or consequential losses) shall be asserted against Sony, its parent companies, affiliates, directors, officers, employees or agents from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind resulting from or arising out of or in connection with the workshop, including without limitation, property damage, personal injuries or death due to the participant’s negligence or actions, or any damage or loss caused by a third party provider.
  5. Each participant warrants that any information provided pursuant to the registration for a workshop (including but not limited to name, identification number, contact details and number(s) and/or addresses) is true, accurate, valid and to be relied upon by Sony. Each participant shall be responsible for keeping Sony informed of any update to the information initially provided, as necessary.
  6. By registering for a workshop, each participant agrees that his/her personal data may be collected, used and disclosed by Sony for the purposes of or in connection with the workshop which the participant registered for, including but not limited to facilitating the conduct of the workshop and/or disclosure of the personal data to the third-party provider conducting an External Workshop.
  7. Sony and its affiliated companies respect the privacy of every individual who visits our SDW web portal or registers for a workshop on our SDW web portal. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details.
  1. Sony or SDW is not responsible for any issues on download notification arising from failure to maintain an active email address.
  2. Download of the articles are free of charge.
  3. Sony or SDW is not responsible for any data loss or corruption arising from the download or use of the article provided herein.
  4. Articles may be refreshed or removed without prior notice.
  5. Contents from these downloads are strictly for personal usage. Any form of reproduction, duplication or modification including commercial usage without prior written notice to SDW is prohibited.
  6. Author of the article holds the copyright to the content.
  7. Sony or SDW is not responsible for any factual errors or mistakes found in this publication.

  1. To administer and/or manage the SDW workshop (“Workshop”), Sony will need to collect, use, disclose and/or process certain personal data or personal information about the participant in the Workshop. This provision is to be intended to provide, in addition to our Data Protection Policy (https://www.sony.com.sg/microsite/privacypolicy SDW-PrivacyPolicy) (“Data Protection Policy”), information on how Sony collects, uses, discloses, processes, manages and handles personal data which is subject to the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No. 26 of 2012) (“the Act”) and collected in connection with the Workshops. Please read this paragraph, as well as the Data Protection Policy, carefully. By registering for and participating in the Workshop, you will be deemed to have agreed and consented to the terms of this paragraph and the Data Protection Policy.
  2. Such personal data will be collected, used, disclosed and/or processed by Sony for the purpose(s) of :
    - Processing, administering and/or managing the customers that register for the workshop, including the payment.
    - Contact customer through phone or emails to to, among others:
    - Confirm successful registration
    - Send workshop reminders
    - Send workshop cancellation information
    - Send workshop re-schedule information
    - Send additional information or any changes regarding the workshop.
    - Coordinate during the actual day of the workshop
    - Clarification of workshop payment matters
    - Follow-up issued encountered during registration
    - Send event announcements, workshop promotion and activity invites
    - Send workshop attended feedback form that will be used to improve the workshops that is being offered.
