Aisha Nazar

Based in the heart of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, a city that thumps splendid vigour in every beat is Aisha Nazar, a professional photographer who embarked on a visual journey since 2016. Apart from commercial work, Aisha displays great ardour in the art of narration delivered through a medium of kaleidoscopic images that blend unique cultural practices around the globe with a documentary-style approach that uses distinctive compositions to attract and thus, educate her audience.

In 2018/19, Aisha was named the first AirAsia & Sony Joint Ambassador. She is now a Sony Alpha Guru and a Co-founder of Women Photographers Malaysia (WPM), a photographic community that aims to empower and motivate female visual makers within the industry in Malaysia. Aisha is constantly looking for ways to improve her skillsets in the area of visual narration and intends to embark on long-term documentary projects via photography and filmmaking.

Azman Karib

“I’m a full-time photographer who was born in Perak, Malaysia 59 years ago. My favorite genres are human interest, portraiture, street and travel photography. When I capture a photo, I wanted my “images” to reach out and touch the hearts of viewers with a sense of “emotion”. Thus, creating an emotional “connection” between the viewer and myself. Thus came about my personal tagline of “Images ? Emotion ? Connection”. It’s my hope to be able to capture the people, culture, places and moments, wherever I happen to be and to share those moments for people from around the world to be connected to them.

My journey with Sony began in 2010 with the introduction of the Nex series of cameras with APS-C size sensor and Sony Mirrorless technology and then with the introduction of the Sony Alpha Full Frame A7 series cameras. I also have various Sony G and G Master lenses. These combination of Sony camera body and lenses, is used for my commercial and professional work to deliver the best possible quality for my clients.

Faizal Ortho, currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I’m a professional photographer and loving every bit of it.
I specialised in landscape, portraiture, commercial, products and corporate photography. My passion, experience and skills have brought me all around Asia and Europe; Never have I imagine to meet and served great leaders of Nations and Countries through my lens and photography works.

Joon Hao

“Joon Hao started his photography journey in 2000, from film to digital, from point-and-shoot to Full Frame. His journey with Sony Alpha was a pure coincidence in 2007. A National Geographic photographer who is using Sony Alpha tasked him on an event and even invited him to an all-paid Nat Geo photography trip. He has been eternalising moments in corporate events, weddings, and portraitures ever since.
Joon Hao’s favourite genres are Street and Portraiture. He always prefer prime lens over zoom lens and his favourite lens at this moment is the SEL135F18GM. He had started to contribute as Alpha Guru since 2019.”

I love to photograph people and places because of the memories that it possesses. I started to be serious in photography since 2010 when I had my first camera. Since videography was introduced, I knew that is the best way to capture and to relive the moments and memories we had. Capturing events is what I am good at. Michael Chee

Based in Kuala Lumpur, Michael Chee for the past 12 years started photography journey in 2008 as a wedding photographer. Recently won Sony World Photography Organization 2019 in 1st Place Malaysia National Winner, and Finalist/Top 10 for Culture Category, SWPA 2019. As the years goes by interest in other photography fields begin to expand such as astrophotography, landscape, portraits, and culture. Also, an active photography educator with Sony Malaysia for 11 years.

Nur Ismail Mohammed

I am a photography enthusiast based in Kuala Lumpur. Started in photography in 2010 mainly in landscape photography, I have become a product ambassador for photography filter and tripod in December 2018 and later, become a SONY Alpha Guru for Landscape in February 2020. I hold a certificate in Photography by Department of Skill Development, Ministry of Human Resources.

My forte is in landscape, cityscape, travel, astrophotography, and architectural photography, both in single exposure as well as high dynamic range (HDR) photography. I have also successfully conducted several photography trips to Iceland, New Zealand, and Indonesia, from 2015 until 2019. Apart from travel photography, I do some commercial photography jobs shooting from building interiors and exteriors for marketing brochures and corporate profiles as well as personal one-to-one workshops and training for those wanting to learn more of HDR photography and photography in general.

In 2019, I have been involved in bird photography, which takes me around Malaysia in search of the exotic birds of Malaysia. All my photography works have been documented in Flickr. I have also been appointed as a judge in photography competition organized by Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia and also recently by Perbadanan Putrajaya.

Salleh Sheikh Ibrahim AlSaber

Muar born, Salleh in Sheikh Ibrahim first became interested in photography when he borrowed his father’s camera for a school trip in 90s. Got his first DSLR in 2005 and like most other photo enthusiast, he started off with taking portraits, landscapes, streets, weddings, still lifes and some of his photos has earned him several places in photography competitions. Finally, in 2015 after migrated to Sony system, he ventured into wildlife photography with a special interest in birds. His interest for this genre has gradually developed in the following years and it finally become a passion in his photography journey.
He and his colleagues Co-authored the “Discovering 100 Birds of UPM Malaysia” in 2017 and was Awarded as The Best Coffee Table Book by Anugerah Buku Negara in the same year.

Koh Sue Anne

Sue Anne K. is a professional portrait photographer based in Kuala Lumpur and a Sony Alpha Guru. She is also part of the core team for Women Photographers Malaysia (WPM), which is a community aimed to empower and support women photographers in pursuit of their passion through visual storytelling.

Sue Anne has been with Sony since day one of her discovery in her passion for photography. She is fearless when it comes to pushing her creative boundaries and sharing her vision. As an avid storyteller, she finds joy in creating images that capture the unique sense of beauty in everyone, regardless of their status, gender and age.

William Ooi

Sony is like a family to me, i’m join Sony Alpha as a trainer in 2011. In the past few years, I have travel almost everywhere to Malaysia to conduct photography workshops. No matter where you go, you can be sure that every workshop will be warmly welcomed. The Sony team, dealer or alpha users treat us like friends and family. in 2019, Sony assinge as Alpha Guru an created as a new image. thanks to Sony and photography friends and also the support team agency as well as the models.

My photography journey
1998- is the year beginning of my photography jouney. I learned to use film to shoot at the college. That mysterious camera hooting, effects and photography darkroom made me more interested in photography. Slowly learn under the failed and tried shooting, learn how to see and understand the light. I graduated Bechelor Degree in Computer Advertising Design in New Zealand and joined a local college after graduation. Because of my good grades and strong interest in photography, the school added photography to my teaching subject.

In 2004, i left the education industry and joined the photo studio. 2008 a turning point in my life and started my own business and founded stardeer image. At that time, I was still very confused,
without a clear goal and concept.

In 2013, i’m participated in the International Photography Competition, World Photography Awards (WPO) for the first time in my life and was recognised Top 50 images in the Arts and Culture Category in Open Competition
Several years of shooting and experience i’m joining MPA UK in 2014. In recent years, won several excellent photography awards in MPA In order to better educate the next generation, I worked as a part-time photography teacher in the university during the entrepreneurial period. As well as Industry Advisory for some collage in Penang.
