I never expected to find cherry blossoms in Yunnan. Yet, there they were—soft pink petals swaying in the crisp air, their fleeting beauty framed against ancient rooftops and winding stone paths. It was a moment where time seemed to pause. People strolled as if in slow motion, wrapped in quiet conversations, as the wind carried delicate petals into the air like whispers from another era. With my Sony A7CII and SEL2070 lens, I sought to capture this sense of suspended time. A wide aperture blurred the background, isolating me as the subject, while a slower shutter speed subtly softened movement, mirroring the unhurried pace of life around me. Yunnan, in that moment, became more than just a place—it became a feeling. Through my lens, I wanted to preserve not just what I saw, but what I felt: the weightlessness of time, the hush of a world moving gently, and the beauty of finding something extraordinary where you least expect it.
