I love Japanese festivals–and at these festivals, you’ve got to be flexible and fast. I love the flexibility the 27-70 focal length offers, and for all the colorful summer festivals that take place at night, F2.8 is essential. The G-master lenses pair seamlessly with my a7iv and offer the fastest autofocus I could hope for–critical when your subject is dancing down a street 2 meters away! That’s how I was able to capture this exquisite moment, when I spotted a single dancer among hundreds who had lost her sandal. I zoomed in from the side of the street and captured it in the perfect moment!
